SEOProfessional.org was founded in 2004 as a reaction to unethical and biased search engine optimization practices flooding the Internet. The purpose of this professional organization is to promote ethical behavior in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Industry.

We have established a credentialing process for professionals within the SEO business. We intend to maintain strict adherence to our code of ethics. All credentialed professionals may publish and display the CseoP after their firm name or individual name.

SEOProfesional.org is a non-profit organization created by a group of professionals in reaction to the personal arrogance of the existing organizations which represent less than 5% of the SEO industry. Our knowledge of the SEO industry is unparalleled as indicated by the fact that our Board of Directors represents 60% of the SEO industry.

Cognizant of the competitive nature of the SEO industry, we give the assurance that our list of members will remain confidential and will never be published in any medium. Should there be requests for recommendations from potential clients, pertinent information will be sent to SEOProfesional.org members so they can contact the interested party.

To uphold our professionalism, SEOProfesional.org as a group does not and will not take part in any SEO forum that criticizes another SEO Company in whatever manner. We do not nor will we establish a relationship with any search engine in recognition of the fact that an SEO company is fundamentally competitive with search engines. Many members and SEO organizations resell search engine processed clicks; this is considered a competitive but acceptable activity.
